Giada's Thanksgiving for two.

This year, for our thanksgiving meal, we're eating Sushi. Why?

Why not?

But yesterday, we had a delicious "Thanksgiving" meal directly insipred by Giada DeLaurentis. Earlier in the week my wife and I were watching Everyday Italian, and the particular show was "Thanksgiving for two. The recipes looked delicious, so we decided to make them.

We started with a Cornbread and Panzanella Salad, then had Turkey and Cranberry Ravioli as our main course, and finished with Apple and Walnut Torta. A great meal.

The salad was a definite surprise. The cornbread matched extremely well with the cheese and tomatoes, and the lemon & olive oil dressing was delicious. The ravioli were sublime, and the hit of cranberry was a delightfully sweet contrast with the flavorful turkey. The recipe called for .25lb of turkey; my wife quadrupled it. Good thing, they were almost all devoured. The torta was a great dessert with the taste or orange layering over everything. I slightly undercooked it, but it still came out well. With vanilla ice cream, sheer bliss!
